Moy Valley Resources IRD is hosting a series of Leader community information meetings over the coming weeks. The purpose of the meetings is to update and inform individuals, communities and businesses on the new EU Leader programme, which is due to come on stream in Mayo in late spring, and help them to identify potential projects for funding under the programme.

Mayo Stroke Support Group’s next meeting is on Thursday January 28 from 11.30am to 1pm and will take place in the Newman Institute, Ballina. Arthritis and Fibromyalgia support group

Planning is now underway for the LEADER element of the Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020. It is expected that by January 2016, the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government will decide on who will deliver the new LEADER programme in Mayo.
